Best Advice to Other Entrepreneurs:
“Dream, plan, believe and act. You can do it, it’s just one step at a time, you don’t know how the dots will connect but you’ll look back and you’ll see how that path led you, you got to go for it, I know one thing I got from my parents, there were choices they made that were life and death and in 1945 my mother was part of a thousand girls they took on a death march in the snow through Germany, they were digging ditches in the roads to slow the Russian tanks down, if you’re too weak they shoot you. On the march they stop the camp, she starts to cry. A German soldier asks what is wrong, she says I can’t take it anymore, I’m freezing, I’m starving, kill me. He tears a sandwich in half, he hands her half and he says listen the war is almost over now is not the time to die, watch yourself, now go stand guard in front of that fire. The next day she noticed that when they marched through deserted towns and the road bent the crescent, there was a point where the guards couldn’t see you. She also noticed that when they stopped the camp there were many minutes at a time where the guards were not to be seen, there were 70 guards, a thousand girls and one of these times she got up walked away went into a deserted town, sees a house, breaks into the house, sees a Christmas tree with apples hanging, eats the apple and then realises she’s left her sisters back there, her friends, they’ll think she’s dead this could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for them, they can’t keep this up much longer what is she going to do, then she thinks I could not live the rest of my life knowing I could have done something. So she sneaks back, she finds her sisters and friends, tells them, the next day they’re marching and they get to one of these crescents they all scatter, she hides in a barrel and then when she comes out hours later it’s nightfall and no one’s around and just like that, she’s free and were her sisters. Most of the people on that march ended up in Bergin or Belzin and died there and so once again, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”…[Listen for More]
