Entrepreneurial Role Models:
When business started difficulties overcame:
“I think the biggest challenge was a lot of the feedback I was getting from people around me. It’s very demotivating when you have a lot of people that think you are doing something that doesn’t make sense all that it’s crazy. I was working very well-paid job in real estate development; I was making well over six figures and the money wasn’t everything to me. It wasn’t for filling me in the same way that building something or helping other people build things does. So, telling people that I was going to make that shift, whether it was my boss or whether it was my family, I was going to go and start for myself and start from zero. There was definitely some pushback there, a lot of negative reactions. And I think that was one of the largest challenges of getting started on building my own businesses. The other one is just self-confidence”…[Listen for More]

Best Advice to Other Entrepreneurs:
“I think my best advice would be just not worrying about failing. If you are doing something that you love, if you are doing something that motivates you that’s self-fulfilling don’t be afraid to fail, go out there and try new things, go out there and try new sales channels, try new ways to help your clients, provide that value. Other Quotes From the Chat with Michael Begg:
- “if I’d Knew about selling online, I probably wouldn’t have gone to university. We could have started in this so much earlier. And it’s so funny it always seems like the sooner you start on something the better it could be… I think if we had opened our eyes to the possibilities of what we could do we definitely could have shortcut the learning curve on selling products. We probably would have been a lot more successful; we probably could have got a lot more results for some of our early clients but it’s just part of the process, we learn when we learn I guess”
- “I think building up confidence as soon as possible in your field or whatever it may be the best, create the best product is one of the best ways to be successful. If you have a good product, whatever it is, a physical product, a B2B service, that’s going to help attract clients, is going to help bring more positive feedback, is going to show more social proof of whatever your product offering is. And I think that’s only going to boost your confidence once you see people that appreciate what you are doing or enjoy the product that they are getting from you.”
- “Self-confidence I think is very important”
- “I think flexibility is another thing that is very important at being able to make changes quickly, to see, to react to changes that are going on in your business”
