From leaving school at the age of 17 until starting her own business at the age of 30, Moira Doherty had a total of 27 jobs. From being an air stewardess to a sales rep, nothing seemed to hold her attention for long enough. When she reached her forties, Moira realised she had become disillusioned with life. A new chapter in southern Spain beckoned, and for ten years, she lived her dream, having built a stunning home on a hillside, overlooking Grenada. Whilst there, she was approached by the parents of a groom to be, who asked if she could help plan their son’s wedding. Moira immediately fell in love with wedding planning, and at the age of 50 began Perfect Spanish Weddings, which is now a six-figure business, which she still runs successfully today. But far from her story ending there, Moira knew there was something else missing; a purpose that needed her attention. As a 62-year-old serial entrepreneur, she’s now shining the light on women aged 45 and over, who feel they have nothing left to offer. She wants them to know anything is possible, and her success later in life, shows what can be achieved.
