With a background in fine Jewellery as a qualified jeweller, designer and gemmologist working for some of Sydney’s most prominent Jewellers, Julia Denes loved working with metal, diamonds and gemstones; however felt herself become very drawn to wood and ceramics. They held very different properties to the materials she had previously worked with – they were earthy, subtle, quiet, and more in tune with who she was. They represent a different lifestyle – one that is more compassionate, honest and authentic.
