“Well my first hurdle was financing. So there is a public relations industry data base of media contacts that I needed a subscription to. And it is extraordinarily expensive, its about $3000 US per year and I didn’t have it. So I finally found a friend who was willing to give me a $3000 loan. The rest of the money I needed for things like business cards or a website, I just…came out of my own pocket. Fortunately with my very first client I was able to pay back my friend that initial loan. So financing was one thing. And I think another thing when I started my business is that I didn’t know what I didn’t know. So I really didn’t understand business banking, I didn’t understand once I started to have employees things about human resources and that sort of thing…insurance, taxes, how to properly incorporate my business.
