Tim Phizackerley is a UK hypnotist, hypnotherapy teacher and mind coach.
He advertises as being Britain’s fastest hypnotist and helps real people with serious problems. He has a diploma with distinction in clinical hypnotherapy, has worked with the occasional celebrity, has an international client list and has also been featured in the national press and on radio and TV.
His interest in hypnosis happened pretty much by accident and out of desperation when his wife was struggling with a terminal illness.
Twenty years on Tim is a hypnotist and his wife is now a multiple transplantee and a rare survivor of three terminal illnesses.
As a hypnotist and therapist Tim likes to specialise in mindset and problems that other therapists either don’t want to work on or have otherwise failed with.
This means that he mostly works on alcohol and other addictions, also serious eating disorders. But he also likes to work on things like performance, post traumatic stress, and anxiety.
His method for treating PTSD was recently independently endorsed by proffessionap neuroscientists in a published independent clinical study which reported positive outcomes for every participant. (Note. Reference for this is available if desired)
He designed a fear of flying system which is offered through some of the UKs biggest airports. And he has also created tools and methods which are being used in a number of UK schools to help children with mental health issues.
He says that hypnosis absolutely isn’t what you think it is and that everyone should understand it. Although he is now a professional hypnotist and therapist he also says there are some serious problems in the world of hypnotherapy.

When business started difficulties overcame:
“There were two. The first was letting people know that I even existed because the Internet is very much still in its infancy, lots of people weren’t on the Internet. And also, when you haven’t been in business for yourself there is a steep learning curve, you have got to learn to do everything. So you become your own IT department potentially if you are self-employed because you haven’t got the money to spend on getting somebody else to do it for you. So, if you need to keep costs down what that means is you have got to be adaptable and you got to learn to do all sorts of things that may be a bit alien to your previous experience”…[Listen for More]

Best Advice to Other Entrepreneurs:
“don’t let anybody else tell you that you can’t do it. Decide that you are going to do it better than anyone else and don’t listen to anyone who tells you that you can’t. And again, I think this comes back to what Henry Ford said and Dave Ellman, what the mind expects to happen is generally realised. So, decide you are going to do it really, really well. If you set your sights all low it’s hardly going to be a surprise if you don’t achieve very much ”…[Listen for More]

Other Quotes From the Chat with Tim Phizackerley:
- “I make decisions about what’s right very quickly and I tend not to go back on them. If you churn things over constantly over and over and over there is a danger you will never make a decision at all. And if you overthink things then I think that can be catastrophic… I tend to go with gut instinct and for the most part it’s been right. It’s not always right and I am sure I have made mistakes”
- “The secret to my success is I burned my boats… So, I had no choice it had to be a success and that was a real motivator. I think if people are to say and to cosy then it’s very, very easy I think to just continue to not do anything, to have it as a dream, never really act on it and say well I need to do this first or I need to know this or I need to know that. You can become perpetual student and never ever take the leap… For me burning the boats so I had nothing to go back to was actually a very, very good decision albeit at the time it was probably a bit scary”
- “If you want to be successful anything you have to be able to vividly imagine it in your own mind. If you think you can then that opens the door to being able to do it. If you think you can’t, forget it there is no way you are going to be successful at something if you think you cannot do it. Those limitations though are imagined”
- “What you imagine to be true becomes your experience of reality. If you apply that to business or doing anything entrepreneurial you’ve got to start out with the expectation that yes you can be successful because if you haven’t got that you might as well forget it”
