Other Quotes From the Chat with Garry Gilliam:
- “someone could tell you things, tell you everything that you want to hear and the exact blueprint of how to do something but until you really get out there and get the experience is not really going to stick or resonate… You don’t want to shortcut your learning curve, you want to learn it. Because you are either going to pay with your time or you are going to pay with your money because you made mistakes. Take the time to learn. Just anticipate hard things coming, anticipate you wanting to give up, expect those things so when they come you are not surprised so you don’t give up”
- “Some of the secrets to success. I would say mindfulness. And what I mean by that is if you have something that you want to do, I would say write it down and write it on a Post-it note and stick it to something you often see. And what that would do is as you see it you are going to think about it. You are going to think about what process needs to be done to accomplish that thing. And from doing that just because you are mindful doesn’t mean things are going to happen in the universe is going to… Law of attraction… That happen from your holding thought and constantly working toward that objective you are trying to accomplish. And that starts with being reminded of it”
- “regardless of how talented you are don’t just take that talent for granted, put the work in, come in early, put the time in and respect the game and your talents will really have an opportunity to shine through”
