Dr Rory F Stern just might be the only digital marketing and advertising expert you’ve ever met who also has a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. His initial goals were to use that training and become a behavioral profiler with the FBI. However, that all changed when he found himself in the position of being a stay-at-home Dad to his then 6-month old daughter. Despite his best efforts, being a stay-at-home Dad wasn’t enough and he still felt a calling to serve others and impact the world. That led to his discovery of digital marketing. For 8-years, Dr. Stern was a very sophisticated jack of all trades who worked for the paycheck. The underlying passion was missing until he discovered media buying. His freelance work led him to a position within a fast-growing Facebook ad agency as a copywriter. This was before Facebook ad agencies “were on every corner.” Here he was tasked with learning how to write ad copy that ultimately beat the existing controls. Not being a classically trained copywriter, and really just a high-performer, he never realized just what it meant to his skill set when he was able to beat the control 90% of the time. After a few different roles, Dr. Stern started RFS Digital Media, LLC in 2016. What started out as a one-man show grew to a point where the business had 8 campaign managers and a team that was managing roughly $8.25 million dollars in ad spend on Facebook by 2018. RFS Digital Media’s clients have included one of the largest direct response financial publishers in the world, many well-known (and not so well-known) supplement companies, e-commerce brands, experts and more.

Am I Good enough? Who am I to do this? Some of those questions I still ask myself today. Finances were a big thing. How do you keep pushing yourself to become something more to create something more that you know is possible when the money is not coming into back it up”…[Listen for More]
