Other Quotes From the Chat with Andrew Royer:
- “understanding the value that you as the entrepreneur bring to the company and determining what your time is worth would have been huge savings. I did what most entrepreneurs do is when you are going to hire you don’t want to be spending money without bringing money in so you hire people that are going to earn you money. And I think in hindsight that was a bit of a mistake because what it forced me to do was take more of a back seat were all I had to do a lot more of the admin work, I had to get the invoices out. So, the most valuable employee is filing paperwork and sending emails where all the newer employees are doing all the work that brings in money so you don’t get the same kind of income level. I think if I was to do it again, I would start with the admin person to take that part off of me so that I could do more of the high-end work”
- “identifying who it is that you want to work with, it’s focusing on your profit rather than your top line and just staying true to who you are and being honest and doing what you say you are going to do”
