Entrepreneurial Role Models:
When business started difficulties overcame:
“when you start a business the first challenge is what is it? And some people try and say well I want to do a thing that’s just like everybody else, I just want to do it in a different way. And it’s the old I am going to make a different mousetrap or a better mousetrap. And I didn’t know what that was going to be so instead I chased an ideal. And I wrote a line that was brands need to be media properties and media properties needs to be brands. And I just said I just want to figure that out and I don’t know if figuring it out means I’m going to have an agency that I’m going to have a production company or I am going to have a consultancy. It’s not about the business it’s about the problem that I want to solve”…[Listen for More]

Best Advice to Other Entrepreneurs:
“Pan for silver work for gold. And here is what I mean by that. A good idea might present itself but it is not going to present itself as a gold idea there just has to be something there that is intriguing. Either that could be a business model, that could be a person that you maybe want to bring onto your team, that might be a new idea for a new product, that might be an idea for a piece of content that you want to share. I think that too many people think that the great ideas, the great people, the great talent just presents itself, and that’s wrong. My experience in stand-up comedy knows this, that you go on stage with a bullet point and you go I think there is something here and you start it and it’s called the bit. And there is something to a bit. And a bit start with an insight, with an idea and then you just what we call in comedy you work the bit. You work it, you do it over and over again, you talk about it, you do it in a small room, you do it in a big room, you just perfect the bit over time. You pan for silver but you work for gold. And nothing is going to present itself to you, you need to do the work”…[Listen for More]

Other Quotes From the Chat with Ron Tite:
- “if you are in second place you still lost. So, it doesn’t matter you got second over last… Yes, the goal is to win but the goal is to win by getting closer to the line knowing that you might cross it”
- “all of the bumps and bruises along the way over time have generated me and I am really happy with me. So, I should be really happy with the bumps and bruises that got me here. And I think the same thing exists in the entrepreneur journey is that there are going to be bumps and bruises but they make you who you are. And if you are not happy with who you are what your company is then you are in a bump and bruise zone and you need to take that and to use it to propel you forward”
- “the secret to success is how you define it. If you define your success by money you are never going to have enough. If you define your success by challenge you are never going to have enough. So, the definition of what it is, is the most important part like what does success actually looked like to you. And I think for entrepreneurs it shouldn’t be what it traditionally has been. I think it should be about happiness more than anything. Happiness. And if you need a ton of cash to make you happy then so be it but at least just make sure that when you check in you checking emotionally in how you are feeling and how happy you are not in how much money is in your bank account. Again, I’m not saying that you shouldn’t pursue cash I am just saying just make sure that if you do you are actually pursuing the happiness that it generates not cash itself”
