When business started difficulties overcame:
“the greatest difficulties were the FDA regulations of finding out how do you bring a product to market? There is no handbook for that, there’s no how to guide that is truly complete and has everything that you need. So a lot of it is piecemeal and a lot of it can be out of date and you can find out from month and month that things have changed so I found that in the very early days of our company figuring out how to do everything exactly to the letter of the law was incredibly daunting and overwhelming. And if there were dozens of times that I just thought well this is impossible, well I am going to give up, and I just had to push through in order to get where I am today. And again ignorance was bliss. If I had known how hard some of those things were I don’t know that I would have had the stuff to see it through because one of another huge obstacle being a female entrepreneur mom in doing this sort of thing halfway through your life is you have a little bit of guilt that I’m not entirely sure male entrepreneurs have where I am asking my family, my husband, my kids to sacrifice for my dream, for something that I truly believe in. And that’s difficult because I should be as mom my drive is give them everything. And I needed to overcome that mental hurdle”…[Listen for More]

Best Advice to Other Entrepreneurs:
“To just do it don’t second guess yourself just do it. You could wind up on the shelves of every grocery store in the United States”…[Listen for More]

Other Quotes From the Chat with Joyce Dales:

- “what I enjoy most is that I know I am helping people”
- “I would of really appreciated a how-to book on this subject that is thorough. That’s just a pipe dream, maybe someday I will make one”
- “you just don’t quit… If you are doing the right thing you will know it because your path forward is just smoother, there’s less bumps. Now I’m not saying there’s not going to be obstacles thrown up that are going to make you feel like oh gosh this is so hard but I have found that when I was on the right path things would start to click and come together for me. And when I was off that path like when I was listening to other people’s voices and not listening to my gut then everything would stall, forward momentum would stall. So when you are listening to your gut things seem to move ahead. You are going to have problems but you will continue to move ahead and you just have to push through and pushed through and pushed through. It’s worth the effort.”
