Ed Eichhorn is an experienced and successful senior executive in the development of medical products and services. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an MBA in Industrial Management. He began his career more than 40 years ago as a medical device product development engineer. During his long career He has been the Director of Research and Development for a kidney dialysis company; He helped to found and sell an innovative successful mobile medical testing business; Has been a senior executive for a large chain of medical imaging centers with responsibility for sales, marketing and strategic planning. In 2008 he established the Medilink Consulting Group LLC where he has advised medical societies and commercial clients on marketing and strategic planning projects. In 2019 he formed Eichhorn & Hutchinson LLP a partnership with Dr. Michael Hutchinson to promote the book they co-authored, entitled Healing American Healthcare a Plan to Provide Quality Care for All While Saving $! Trillion a Year. Ed has a long standing interest in serving his community. He served on his local school board for 12 years and as a member of the board of trustees at his alma mater, Stevens Institute of Technology for 3 years.

When business started difficulties overcame:
“what we did was we bootstrapped the company, what we did was invest our personal assets, whatever they might be in order to begin and test the concepts of the services that we wanted to provide. We learned very quickly it’s very important to have the cash to pay the bills. You could provide a service but with the normal time that it takes for clients to pay and on the other side of it the need to higher employees or to buy equipment or to build out the things to build the service took a lot of time and it also took a lot of money. So what we did was we were very conservative, we began to do all of the work ourselves, I would go out, I would seek the business, and then I would go out and provide medical testing services, we did our own accounting services until we got to the point where we could provide the cash flow to allow us to have the business grow. So we grew slowly at first but our sales basically doubled every year for the first four or five years of the business and then we were able to get lines of credit”…[Listen for More]
