When business started difficulties overcame:
“the difficulties I guess have varied over the years because I have had some twists and turns in what the business was… The difficulty during that time was I was once again working too hard, I was working long hours, I was commuting to clients, and that wasn’t the reason why I had quit my job. So I sort of had the success in the sense of the money and the business was up and running but it wasn’t what I wanted to do. And then the next challenge was the opposite because I went through what I like to call my hippie phase, I travelled, I trained and certified to be a coach and I had an amazing time but I was working through my savings and I wasn’t really earning money. Then challenge was actually living expenses and actually earning money building a business. So the last few years have been trying to balance the two. And as you said in terms of work life, business life balance integration, whatever you want to call it. Again really brings together marketing your business and earning money on the one side, on the other side still travelling having adventures, prioritising family and so on. So that is the current challenge or ongoing focus I guess”…[Listen for More]

“take a step back and ask what is success for you… It is easy to fall into other definitions… It’s easy to fall into the entrepreneurial hustle, oh I have got to get funding, I have got to make seven figures, I have got to do this that and the other. So I think take a step back, ask yourself why did you start or why do you want to start your own business, what is it going to bring you, what are your core values and priorities. And then once you’ve taken that one step back want you to take one step forward.
